Martinez Saez - D.O. La Mancha
The estate of Martinez Saez covers a total area of 550 hectares where grapes and olives are grown. The winery is situated at an altitude of 900 meters, which brings freshness and structure to the grapes. Because of the low yield per vine (1.5kg) combined with the favourable climate, the grapes achieve intense aromas.
Bodegas Martinez Saez is a family winery where craftsmanship is combined with the latest technologies. The winery was renovated in 2001 and contains state-of-the-art installations, where vinification takes place in an acclimatized wine cellar with strictly controlled temperature and humidity. Fermentation and filtering is done in the traditional way and no sulphites and sugars are added. To ensure optimal quality our winery only works with grapes from our own vineyards. Throughout the year, the vineyards are carefully maintained and activities such as pruning and harvesting are done in a gentle way to prevent erosion and soil degradation.
Besides Castilla La Mancha, winemaker Antonio Rodriguez has also gained experience in regions such as Rioja and Valdepeñas. In the video below he will tell you more about the process of Martinez Saez.
